ok so im in metal shop and im bored... i have done projects like dog, mouse, roses, book shelves, stands for plants, candle holders and some other stuff i have access to: mig welder, torch welder (the fire one), polishers, drills, plasma gun, band saws, lathes, and a ton of other stuff. what are some other stuff i can make? something that would be fun and a little challenging.. i cannot make any weapons, helmet, shield, etc. They are not permitted on the school campus. hmmm.. what are some ideas of what i should make?

http://www.gardeningdelights.com/PlantStand-Large-432 I have a metal plant stand like this one that has old & rusted shelves. Some of the shelves are rusted so bad that they are deteriorating but the frame of it is sturdy. What I want to know is how can I fix the shelves to save the frame?

I have made a wishing well out of a medium fish style bowl filled it with rocks and added dimes, nickles and pennies into it. It sits in my wealth (prosperity) corner of my apartment on a small metal plant stand which I covered with a 1" thick wood plate (the bowl sits on top of the plate). It is surrounded by 2 lucky bamboo plants next to the window. My concern is the metal plant stand. Could this create a problem?

I have a sunroom of all glass, except for the ceil and want to keep it warm for the winter. I need to put objects that hold heat from an infrared heater. I have two ceramic pot about 3 feet tall filled with sand and some metal plants stands. Any suggestons would be appreciated, thanks

This is more of an FYI instead of a question. I have been looking for a raised dog feeder for my two boxers - mostly because one of them has the bad habit of dumping over the dog food bowl everyday. And with the cost of dog food, I could afford the waste. But I was appalled at the cost of dog feeders - the average for the height I was looking for was @ $40.00. I have discovered that the metal plant stands from Walmart make perfect dog feeders. They stand at just the right height for my boxers and work perfectly with the dog bowls I already had. AND best of all, they only cost about $5. So for anyone looking for large dog feeders - that's my FYI. :) Hope that helps someone out. People in the "Pet" community of Answers are unbelievable! The way you can get jumped on in this chat room makes a person not want to post anything. I respect that you may have a different opinion than me about feeders - you should respect my opinion too, instead of telling me what an "awful" thing I'm doing to my dogs. If you don't want to use an elevated dog feeder then don't - but DON'T jump all over me because I do!!

I'm sick and tired of a couple of neighbors cats using my beautiful garden as a crap tray. I've used orange peel, lemon, cayenne pepper, garlic (everything within the law, though that may soon change) and planting CDs which supposedly annoy them. And they're still returning. Any last hopeful tips before choose to stand waiting on guard with a large metal shovel in hand?
